Taika Waititi took a superhero film that had grown a bit stuffy and let it run wild. He stripped Thor of his iconic hammer, which sounds like a disaster until you see how much fun the character has without it. The result is a loud, fast-paced romp that leans hard into comedy rather than the usual brooding gravitas. Hela is a genuinely terrifying villain, but the real energy comes from the bickering between the gods. It is 131 minutes of pure, unapologetic chaos.
