What streaming costs in Canada

The standard monthly plan of 8 services, each read on the service's own site.

The cheapest is Discovery+ at CA$5.99 a month and the most expensive Netflix at CA$18.99. Prices are in CAD, for the cheapest plan without ads, paid monthly.

Not included: annual plans, student and family prices, bundles, trials and offers. Only plans with ads when the service sells nothing else. Prices change; check with the service before you sign up. Services whose price we have not read on their own site are left out.

Keeping four services or taking them in turn

Netflix (CA$18.99), Disney+ (CA$15.99), Apple TV+ (CA$14.99) and Paramount+ (CA$11.99) cost CA$61.96 a month together. Over 8 months that is CA$495.68.

If what you want to watch on each fits in 2 months, subscribing to one at a time and cancelling before the next costs CA$123.92 over the same 8 months. Whether it fits depends on your own list; the Binge Boss planner works it out from the shows and films you add.
