What kind of watch this is
Joss Whedon built a show where saving the world is just another layer of teenage anxiety. It mixes serialized season-long plots with a weekly villain, blending horror, martial arts, and farce into a single 43-minute package. Sarah Michelle Gellar called it the ultimate metaphor for the horrors of adolescence manifesting through actual monsters. That is 144 episodes and 103 hours of watching a girl try to get home before dark while the apocalypse waits for her to finish homework. The comedy is frequent, but the stakes are real.
