What kind of watch this is
The Terminal List is a 16-hour action drama that treats revenge as a logistical problem. Chris Pratt plays a Navy SEAL who hunts down the people who killed his platoon, applying two decades of combat training to a very specific, very violent target list. The tone is relentless, skipping the usual character development to focus on the mechanics of the hunt. It is a pure adrenaline feed that asks you to care about the mission before it asks you to care about the man. The tagline says the mission isn't over, and the runtime agrees.
What the critics said
Rotten Tomatoes sits at 40%, based on 58 critics, with an average score of 5.7 out of 10. The consensus notes Chris Pratt fully commits to the mission, but the thriller’s unrelenting gruffness is no meat and all potatoes. Metacritic lands on 40, signaling mixed or average reviews. Dave Nemetz of TVLine called it punishingly grim and hopelessly boneheaded. Daniel D’Addario of Variety described it as a dour, miserable sit.
How it did with audiences
TMDB users give it a score of 8. Amazon Prime’s “Top 10” list saw it climb to No. 1 within two weeks of its premiere. Nielsen tracked 1.1 billion minutes viewed across its 8 episodes. For a military thriller, that is a lot of time spent staring at screens.
What came next for the cast
Chris Pratt came from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, a run that saw him return for Vol. 3 in 2023. Taylor Kitsch, known for X-Men Origins: Wolverine and John Carter, moved on to American Primeval in 2025. Riley Keough, previously in Mad Max: Fury Road and Logan Lucky, followed with Jay Kelly in 2025. The credits list what happened next, not what this film did to their careers.
