What kind of watch this is
David Frankel’s 2006 film runs 109 minutes and operates on a simple, sharp premise: a Midwestern writer lands a job she hates and must survive the editor who hates her back. Meryl Streep plays that editor. It is not a feel-good career parable. It is a comedy about the specific pain of being useful to someone who views you as furniture. The fashion is the scenery; the power dynamic is the plot.
