What kind of watch this is
Tenzing is a 126-minute drama directed by Jennifer Peedom. It chronicles a climber who refuses to accept that the mountain is too high, too cold, or too stubborn. The film leans on the weight of history rather than the thrill of the summit. Genden Phuntsok carries the physical burden, while Tom Hiddleston and Willem Dafoe navigate the bureaucratic and human obstacles below. It is less about the view from the top and more about the cost of getting there. The tagline promises the ascent that made history. The story delivers the exhaustion that made it possible.
What the critics said
Rotten Tomatoes places the film at 98% approval based on 56 reviews, with an average score of 7.3 out of 10. Metacritic assigns it 67 out of 100, which lands in the generally favorable range. The consensus calls it immersive and tasteful, a rock-solid adventure that pays tribute to a pioneer history overlooked.
