Metacritic is less generous, assigning a weighted average of 47 out of 100 based on four critics, labeling the reception mixed or average. Audiences fared better than critics. CinemaScore polled an average grade of "A," and PostTrak found 63% of viewers would definitely recommend it. The Hollywood Reporter’s Frank Scheck noted that adult chaperones might as well give in. Variety’s Casper Salmon called it a half-decent entertainment that eventually coheres.
