What kind of watch this is
Ozark trades the glamour of Chicago finance for the muddy, sun-bleached reality of a Missouri lake town. It is a 43-hour commitment to watch a family slowly dismantle its own morality to survive. The premise is simple: launder money or die. The execution is not. Jason Bateman plays the man who thinks he is the smartest person in every room, and the series patiently proves him wrong. It is tense, bleak, and exhausting in the best possible way. No one gets out clean.
How it did with audiences
On TMDB, users rate it 8.2 out of 10. That is a high number for a show about money laundering, which is ironic given the premise involves counting cash under a lake. Viewers clearly enjoyed the tension. The lack of box office figures makes sense.
