What kind of watch this is
Newlyweds is a 2026 comedy where a free-spirited woman and a reserved professor marry quickly after a brief, passionate courtship. Gail Lerner and Jamie Lee Curtis created it, and the tagline—"Just met. Just married. Just winging it."—does a lot of the heavy lifting. It runs 21 minutes per episode across 3 episodes, totaling 1 hour of watch time. That is a brisk commitment, roughly the length of a very bad first date.
How it did with audiences
The box office is a blank slate, so the only hard number is the TMDB user score: 3 out of 10. It isn’t a hit, a miss, or a cult classic. It is a Tuesday night that nobody will remember.
