What kind of watch this is
Monster: The Ed Gein Story is an 8-episode crime drama that takes about 8 hours to watch. It skips the sensationalized horror tropes to look at the quiet, rural life that produced one of cinema’s most famous monsters. Created by Ian Brennan, the series anchors its tension in the mundane rather than the gory. It is a study in how ordinary spaces hide extraordinary darkness. The runtime is substantial, but the pacing keeps it grounded.
How it did with audiences
On TMDB, users rate it 7.3 out of 10. That is a solid score, the kind that suggests the film delivered what it promised without breaking a sweat. There is no box office data to weigh the commercial impact, so we stick to the user sentiment. It is a quiet approval, not a riot.
