Metacritic settles on 55 out of 100 as of December 2025. A. O. Scott noted the acting enhances the narrative’s credibility. Christy Lemire found the film less thrilling than its premise. On TMDB, users rate it 6.4 out of 10. A solid weekend, a softer second, and a score that suggests the movie did exactly what it promised.
