Roger Ebert called the experience a "cheerless exercise," while Megan Lehmann saw some visually inventive high points. Audiences, however, were less critical, awarding it an A- on CinemaScore. What came next for the cast
Ray Romano moved from Everybody Loves Raymond to The Irishman. That shift says something about a career, though the credits cannot claim this film caused it. John Leguizamo swapped Romeo + Juliet for the John Wick franchise, trading poetic tragedy for bulletproof jackets. Seann William Scott went from Final Destination to Lethal Weapon. The trajectory is messy, but the range is there.
