Faced with the prospect of sending Chloe away for years, the Thundermans split apart, with Phoebe, Barb and Billy taking her into hiding. Max, Hank, and Nora track their rogue family members, until the two factions face off against each other in a full-on battle for the Thundermans’ future.

Tessa Smith from Mama's Geeky's saw real heart here. She praised the humor and the way Chloe’s powers mirror growing up, finding genuine stakes in the family’s disagreement. Not everyone agreed. Ashley Moulton of Common Sense Media gave it 3 out of 5 stars, calling it an unoriginal, trope-heavy superhero comedy with unnecessary fights. She noted fans might still enjoy the silly humor and heartfelt ending.
