What kind of watch this is
Bones pairs a forensic anthropologist with an FBI agent who sees the world through intuition rather than evidence. It is 12 seasons and 246 episodes, roughly 180 hours of examining bones that standard identification methods have already failed to identify. The hook is the clash between Brennan’s strict adherence to science and Booth’s faith, a dynamic that keeps the procedural from feeling like a sterile lab report. It is a show where the body speaks, but only if you know how to listen to the silence between the cracks.
What the critics said
The pilot drew mixed reactions, landing a Metacritic score of 55 out of 100 from 29 reviews. Later episodes fared better, earning generally positive marks. USA Today praised the "strength of its characters" and the appeal of Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz as crime fighters. Media Life Magazine found the "execution doesn't match the conception," calling the premise clever but the result derivative. They even dubbed it "bone-headed.
