Critics found Bluey appealing to both toddlers and their parents, a dual appeal that sets it apart from cartoons that leave grown-ups baffled. Philippa Chandler of The Guardian praised the sharp script and Queensland setting. David Sims of The Atlantic noted it offers a particular representation of contemporary parenting. Common Sense Media also approved the positive family themes.
How it did with audiences
There is no box office figure to count. On TMDB, users rate it 8.6 out of 10. That is a high number for a show about a family dog, but then, most children find him more compelling than the adults in the room.
