What the critics said

Rotten Tomatoes holds a 0% Tomatometer score, a figure it has maintained since September 2024. The average of rated reviews sits at 1.9/10, a number that likely reflects the sheer volume of people who watched it rather than their opinion of it. Jessica Kiang of Variety called it "a thoroughly terrible, politically objectionable, occasionally hilarious Polish humpathon." The Guardian highlighted the "dismal dialogue" and "unsexy" sex scenes. Dissent was not limited to critics; a French feminist collective and singer Duffy both campaigned for its removal. The film’s popularity on Netflix seems to have outpaced its reputation, a rare achievement for a movie that 0% of reviewers enjoyed.
